My wife and I purchased Statton cherry livingroom and dining room furniture over 20 years ago when we first moved into our house... we are considering downsizing to a smaller house.. and might not have space for all of it... what would be the best way to determine the current value... and where would be ther best place to post our desire to sell some of it??

It does my heart good to hear from someone with such good taste in furniture. Are you listening to this world???? Twenty years they've had Statton and they don't want to part with any of it. Quality makes a difference, it is actually less expensive in the long run to buy beautiful furniture like Statton than to... well... I digress.

My suggestion would be that you keep as much as you can and then sell the rest through an ad in the newspaper. With all the cheap imports out there today it is really tough to sell high quality furniture that is brand new, much less get a good price for used quality furniture.

Perhaps a couple of our readers have had experience selling used quality furniture. Write me below.
